No colours of tint are explicitly banned. However, there are a few exceptions to this rule. Vlt, or visible light transmission, measures the amount of light that can pass through your window. When it comes to tinting your car windows, you may only use 20% tint film on the top 5 inches of your windshield. For example, a 50% tint will let half of the light filter through, while a 20%.
