Sticking with 20% or going with 15% The best 15 window tint to buy: Little or no difference looking out thru 20vs 15. There is a big difference between 15% tint and 20% tint. I have 50% windshield with a 5% sun strip, 30% sides, and 15% back. Yes 20% does impair my vision, but i can't not see or barely see anything. B.a.m.f bed rail tie downs. What do you all suggest; If you’re looking for maximum privacy, go with a 15% tint. One can argue 20% impairs your vision, but so does 50%.
The first and most obvious difference between 15% and 20% tint is the amount of light that is allowed to pass through the film. 20% tint is the first vlt level you’ll see that’s legal on various types of windows in a lot of different states. 15% tint lets in just 15% of visible light, while 20% tint allows 20%. I don’t if i want to match the front with the back on my dc or go darker on the back too. But 50% looks much better. Ok so i searched and only found one thread on 15% vs 20%. I can’t imagine 5% all around, for main windows i.
